The two kinds of house
A second home is renovated in the winter it is empty, planned backwards from the owner’s return: if the house is used from May, the kitchen is ordered in the autumn and fitted by March, with the gap for the worktop inside that. A home lived in all year is fitted whenever the delivery lands, with a temporary kitchen somewhere else in the house and a tolerance for dust.
